I have enjoyed the pleasure and the honor of being a predominantly self-employed art jeweler for nearly 40 years. The jewelry I design comes from my heart and my dreams. |
For the most part I work with silver, copper and brass. I add precious and semi-precious gemstones when the design requires them. I cut the design from sheet and wire, file, sand and silver solder the pieces together hand chasing patterns and doming as needed to finish up the piece I am creating. Then I buff the jewelry, clean it and hand polish it. Finally I put a price on it and in no time the person I unknowingly created the piece for finds it, pays me and life repeats itself - with nearly always a new design emerging. For me jewelry has always been a soft and exciting adventure. |
